Seller trying to avoid sending prepaid shipping label

I purchased an item that arrived on June 17th, and it was the wrong item - it didn't fit where it is supposed to go.  I immediately initiated a return request, which was approved by eBay, except that the eBay message says that the seller notified eBay they sent a return shipping label, which is not true.  Instead, the seller contacted me and offered me a $2 refund for the item that cost me well over $8 and asked me to keep the item, which is useless to me.  I responded to the seller via eBay and explained that the item is useless to me and asked for the return shipping label, and offered to accept the same type of item that would have the correct dimension that would fit.  The seller then tried to convince me to keep the item because of all the effort on my part to return it, and all the effort on their part to issue the return label and then check that the item is in the same condition as it was when it was shipped to me, and to entice me they now offered a $4 refund.  I replied and refused the offer and gave the seller two options: (1) to provide me with the return shipping label, or (2) to send me the correct item (for which I previously provided the correct size), and requested one of those options ASAP.  I have not yet received a response to that last request.

As I recall from the initial contact from eBay, the seller has till June 23rd to provide the return shipping label, although, according to the eBay claim, the seller informed eBay that the return shipping label was sent to me (which is obviously not true based on the refund offers that I've refused).  Is there some direct contact link to eBay to report that seller and request the money back guarantee?  Thanks in advance  for any advice on next steps to take.

Good for you, robbie3141.  My case dealt with a much smaller sum, but I decided not to continue to play the seller's game and contacted eBay on Facebook, as I was advised here to do.  Guess what? I just received the eBay notification that the case was resolved in my favor, and that I was issued a full refund.  This took less than 1 full day!  Thank you all who chimed in.

This is rather odd! Even though eBay gave me a full refund under their "Money back guarantee" policy, they still kept the "Awaiting feedback" notification for that seller on my page.  So I decided to leave the feedback, which was "Negative" and included some of the details, although I pointed out one positive aspect of the transaction, that the item arrived on time.

So, the odd thing is that the feedback was there yesterday and was gone today. Did eBay remove the negative feedback because my money was refunded and that entire transaction was basically "wiped out", or did eBay remove my negative feedback on the seller because they are rated as a "Top-rated seller" and the seller "is one of eBay's most reputable sellers. Consistently delivers outstanding customer service."?🙄

So if you mentioned that you so got a refund because you so opened a case and eBay so stepped in, your feedback was so removed. It's a common sentiment, to report any of that in feedback, but it's not allowed.

Thanks sasa790592.  I was not aware of that eBay rule.

eBay wouldn't remove the entire feedback because something in the comment violated policy.  They would remove only the comment ... and leave the rating alone.

The OP would be quite certain about whether their feedback was deleted, or just edited here a year later.

I 'm going through the same thing with a seller. My question is when you went to facebook did you contact them through "chat" or some other way on their facebook page?
