Hello, so I am a fairly new Ebay seller and have now currently encountered my first major problem.
I sold a sewing machine for $50 + Shipping, as I just wanted it gone.
Had someone with very little feedback buy it and pay for shipping through UPS.
I successfully shipped the item, and it arrived to the buyers area, and the tracking info said "Unable to deliver invalid address". I reached out to the buyer, but they didn't reply to me until after I had already received the item back.
After I recieved the item back, I messaged them again and mentioned that I could issue a refund minus my shipping expenses and fees (I was charged for both sending and recieving the package back).
Didn't get a response again, so I waited a few days for a response, and again didn't recieve one, so I went ahead and issued the refund anyway.
Today, another couple of days later, I have recieved a message, asking if I will issue a refund, and/or resend the item with a different carrier. (This option just isn't possible as I gave it away to a friend not wanting to deal with shipping It out again.)
Reading Ebay's policies, I am pretty sure I have done everything right thus far. (I am decently sure I didn't have to refund her anything at all due to void Ebay money back guarantee, but did so to be decent about the situation.)
Just wondering if I have done everything right, and If I could've done anything better, and If this could affect my seller rating.
Buyer hasn't filed a claim yet, but I am wondering if I'd have a valid rebuttal if I buckle down about not giving a further refund.
Thank you in advance.

Hey @lady_shays_geeks_and_games once the tracking showed an attempted delivery to the buyer's location, your obligation was completed. We really appreciate seeing you take such great care of your buyer and being proactive in messaging them and even refunding them. You did an excellent job.
