Returns when a Freight forwarding service is used

I am trying to get an answer for this as I am forced to use a freight forwarding service.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY or do not respond at all.

There are mixed answers all around this topic.

Firstly, the Ebay money back guarantee rules clearly state that money back guarantee is voided if such a service was used and the Buyer wants to return the item based on "item not as described"

This rule is very clear, there is no need to red in between the lines.

My question on the other hand is what if the freight forwarding service was used in the order by the buyer and they want to return the item simply out of remorse, or I should say a change of mind. Is the Ebay money back guarantee voided in this case?

That is, if the Seller simply choses not to refund the buyer before or after the return, even though they stated they accept returns, will Ebay step in this issue or completly disregard it based on the fact that the buyer used the freight forwarding service?

Going based only by what is stated in the rules, money back guarantee is only voided by the "item not as described", which obviously means that ebay money back guarantee should apply in this case. But nothing is ever as simple as that, right? Because in my conversation with ebay support I eas told two different things pretty much. Firstly that tje guarantee is absolutely voided if such a service was used, but then when inquiring further I was told that it depends on case to case basis.

It should really be a yes or no answer. The fact that I have to even write such long paragraphs of questions is silly.

Re: Returns when a Freight forwarding service is used

this is a simple case

ebay states that when a buyer is unhappy with an item and wants to return it you need to let it happen

just because a reshipper was used means nothing

if the buyer can get the item back to you then you need to refund them, its very simple

you are on the hook for the amount of the USA shipping

its up to the buyer to get the item back to you no matter where it is now

Re: Returns when a Freight forwarding service is used

The MBG doesn't cover remorse returns.

On remorse returns, you go by the sellers return policy.

If the seller excepts returns, the buyer can return the item, but they are responsible for all the shipping charges back to the seller.

What part isn't right?

Unless the seller has free returns, the buyer pays return shipping on remorse returns.
