I bought a car part and confirmed 100% it is faulty, the seller wants me to return it to a different address and pay shipping, they said they will reimburse shipping and product after arrival, sounds like a scam to me. Is it?

If the item is defective, you need to find the order in your Purchase History and press the big, blue 'Return this item' button. Cite 'defective' as the reason for your claim, Confirm and Submit. The seller will provide you a prepaid shipping label, and it will reflect the 'Return' address that your seller has on file. So... you don't pay shipping, but it could be to a different address.
If the seller doesn't send you a return label, ask eBay to step in when your case allows you to. You'll be made whole.
