Return

I purchased an article of clothing from a seller. I Paid immediately.  The item arrived and I smelled smoke and mold immediately as I was opening packaging.  The article of clothing smelled so bad I had to remove it from my home.  I contacted the seller and told her I wanted a refund as the item was disgusting.  She immediately sent a refund (prior knowledge of it being offensive?) The next day she contacted me saying she wants me to send it back to her and she would reimburse me for the shipping.  I said send me a shipping label.  Meanwhile I washed the article 3 times and hung it outside  to dry.  The smell was coming out slowly with woolite soaking, Regular detergent and smelling beads did nothing.  I contacted her and told her if I can get the smell out, she could invoice me and I would be happy to pay for the garment.  She told me to send it back, she wanted to wear it!  I said fine, send me a label. She told me to get it from eBay.  I couldn’t due to her refunding so quickly.  The transaction was closed.  I again told her to send me a label or an invoice.  She said she would. Then a few hours later responded with a foul note, calling me names and telling me to keep it and a few other choice words.
what is my responsibility in this?  I am a member since 2017 with only 💯 positive transactions.  I have purchased 17 items this month alone and have had no issues -ever.

help!

Re: Return

Just ignore, block the seller, if you want, you can report seller. You got the refund, case closed.

Out of curiosity, did you actually opened a return case through eBay?

Re: Return

You did file an item not as described case?  If not, do so.

Re: Return

No I couldn’t.  I’ve never had the need before so it took me a bit to figure out how to do it.  I’ve been lucky and only had great or reasonable issues that were worked through or were not a big deal.

Re: Return

You got the refund. If she wants it back she will provide a return label. If not, her loss.

BTW, smells and musty odors are not covered by MBG.
