Return without refund

I bought some hair products in January that I could not use.  I contacted the seller.  He tried to get me to keep it with a discount but I insisted on a refund.  He sent me a return label which I used to return the products.  After a couple of weeks of having no refund , I again contacted tht seller and was told their team would look into it and get back to me and that was 2/28.  Unfortunately, I was unable to address the issue again until recently due to health issues.  Now, the option to have eBay step in has expired even though I started this in January.  My question is how do I get me money back!!

ebay will help this seller steal your money sorry.     ebay is a fraud website that claims buyer protection and money back guarantee but they are letting sellers steal peoples money to collect on the fees they get to make the books look good for company earnings.  im in the same boat as you.  they have already stole my money. i sent item back to seller, now i have no item and no money. ebay closed return in sellers favor. calling ebay will do nothing.  ebay will just talked to about their policies and how their hands are tied.  sorry you lost you money but i find many many like you out there that have been completely ripped off by ebay.

After a case is opened it doesn't  stay open indefinitely. If the seller is dragging you along with excuses like their team is looking into it that's because they're buying time because they know if you don't  go back to the case and escalate it by 21 days the case will close in the seller's favor. If eBay sees there's no further activity they assume  you worked it out with the seller and had no need to ask eBay to step in and force them to refund.

Closed cases can't  be reopened.

If you paid with PayPal go there and dispute the charge or file a chargeback with your card co.

I first encountered this term with a house sale

I am sorry that happened but ebay has strict rules for getting things done

the best advice I can give is next time skip the seller and just deal with ebay

you are not required to even talk to the seller for a return..just ebay

Don't let the seller take advantage of eBay's oversight. eBay should have refunded without being asked.

Right now, start another return request here, if that's how you paid. Then when you're told to return the products, upload the return tracking number already delivered back to the seller, to get your refund. Don't talk to the seller, now or later, even if they promise a refund if you'll close the case.

Otherwise @dibronsona file a chargeback by calling your card issuer, and provide your return tracking number to get your refund.
