Looking for some help here! I ordered five items from the same seller, and then had to initiate a return for them all because they weren't what I wanted. When I bought the items I did not pay any shipping costs because they were listed as having free shipping. The items were all shipped together in one box. So, in initiating the return through Ebay, I had to start a return for each item individually, and Ebay wanted to charge me return shipping costs per item, saying that the return shipping would be deducted from my refund. So I just went ahead to the post office and had them create a new label for me, and I sent the box back to the seller. The seller knows that I initiated a refund and knows why, but could not help me figure out how to handle the shipping costs. As soon as I mailed the package back, I notified the seller and sent them a photo of my receipt with tracking info.
Is there anything else I need to do? Was this the wrong thing to do? Does anyone have experience with trying to return multiple items to the same seller using a single box, when that box was the only box the items were shipped in to begin with?

As you saw, you're responsible for return shipping. But you can't use the same tracking number for those 5 return requests: You can only use it once, and get a refund for that one item.
Now that who pays -- you do, out of pocket -- for return shipping is settled, if your seller doesn't voluntarily refund for all 5 items after they are delivered back, you'll pursue your refund elsewise, as eBay cannot help.
Either @alaricious however you paid
-- start another return request, just one single return for the entire payment of all 5 items here at PayPal then upload the one already-delivered tracking number when asked to return the items to get your refund, or
-- file a Credit Not Processed chargeback with your card issuer and provide the tracking number to get your refund.
“Credit Not Processed” indicates that the cardholder had reason to believe they were going to receive a refund, but no credit to their account has yet been processed.

If you paid for each item separately instead of all 5 at a one time payment...then that might present a problem.
Doesn't matter how they were shipped to you in one box.
I would be happy with the refund as least and not raise an eyebrow about the shipping charges being deducted.
I mean, you did make a mistake buying 5 items....not one item.
I wouldn't be surprised if buyer might block you from future purchases over the exchange of emails about shipping refund or just refunds. Just my own personal thoughts.
