So I requested a return for a camera I bought. The seller accepts returns. I clicked the wrong repast for returning and I was lead to believe that I had to cancel the request and open a new one for the real reason. Now I am unable to request a new refund for this item. I have contacted the seller, but Is there any way of correcting my error to be able to get a refund? Also why is there not the ability to change your reason on eBay return requests.

Return requests are one time only. Once you close a return there are no do overs.
You will need to go through your payment source either credit card or PayPal for any sort of refund.

Hi @caconna97
We never have been able to reopen a closed return request OR to change the reason for wanting to return an item.
What ‘lead you to believe’ the policy was different?
What is your real reason for wanting to return the item … and what reason did you originally choose?

Once you close a case it can no longer be reopened. You are now the owner of that camera. If you come across a situation like this again now you know two things first you can't close the case and second you can't change the reasoning once you made the decision the first time. That's how the Ebay return system works.

Yep, once you click it's set in stone. eBay has always been light on undo buttons. Got to take extreme care when clicking. You only get one chance to open a case.
