So did eBay change the return policies again. I can no longer offer partial refunds? A customer returns an item in plastic bags completely destroying this beautiful guitar and I just have to deal with it. I feel like eBay is grasping at straws trying to keep shady ppl buying thing and allowing them to rip everybody off. Why have an option for no return. Is there a better option online other than eBay?

I don't think the Return policies have changed lately. Regarding partial refunds... were you ever able to give them? I ask because TRS sellers who offer at least 30-Day Returns are allowed to deduct a portion of the full refund when an item is returned in a different/devalued/destroyed condition. (I don't see that you are TRS, so I wondered if there has been a change in your account.)
I agree that 'No Returns' isn't worth the time it just took me to type it, though, and I wonder why sellers even use it.
I can't address other online venues as I've never used any. Plus, in this forum we're not allowed to refer you elsewhere.
I hope that helps a little. Hang in there...

No it gives no option for partial refund at all anywhere. I was TRS but I re-listed something and didn't change the quantity and I had to cancel orders. My defect rate is almost back to TRS status. How much do you get back for TRS when something like that happens? Also when you accept returns do you think more ppl take advantage and send back things taken apart/used or damaged? Thanks I started this as a hobby I like the hustle but things are becoming more serious but more frustrating at the same time.

You pretty much summed up problems that could happen when selling stuff on Ebay. Ebay allows returns for 30 days and even if there is damage the seller will take the hit. I know other sellers will say give a deduction but I guess in this case Ebay isn't allowing it so you must give the full refund. When it comes to returns buyers will more than likely choose a seller who offers 30 days/seller pays for returns over someone who offers no returns. No returns doesn't mean much anymore because if a buyer want to return an item they will fight you and Ebay will force you to.

TRS sellers can deduct up to 50% of the sale price if returned in different condition as stated above.

A TRS that accepts 30 day returns can deduct up to 50% of the refund.
An Above Standard account that offers Free 30 day returns can deduct up to 50% of the refund.

ebay recently "fixed" the "glitch" that allowed sellers to withhold shipping from refunds.
