Return damaged items

The item got damaged during the shipping. I asked the seller for a return. He accepted it first and gave me label. But then closed it and opened a case where eBay declined the return. Seller says that I used a forwarded company. The description also says that he accepts returns in 30 days. Can someone tell me if there is a way where I can return it (cause I dont need damaged items)? Or are there no ways to return it?

Are you located in another country and use a freight forwarder located in the US to ship packages to you?

If so, that voids your MBG.

If the item was damaged after it left the freight forwarder, you deal with them.

Have a great day.

@Anonymous Sellers cannot open or close return cases, only a buyer can. If that were the case, there would never be returns as no seller wants them. You are listed in the USA so I'm presuming you purchased from an international seller? You haven't provided much info to go on.

The money back guarantee would apply to you as a buyer. Below is the link. As long as you are within the 30-day return period you should be able to simply open an item not as described case and follow the prompts. Best of luck to you....

No, I purchased from a USA seller. But I used a forwarded company. Created a case, and then seller accepted it, but decided to refuse and open ticket. Still strange behaviour though. I think that the item was damaged before the shipping. Not sure if PayPal can help, but will try.

No, its still in the warehouse of the freight forwarder. But I got your point.

I'm still not understanding. You are in the US, purchased from a US seller, yet you used a freight forwarder? Sellers cannot open a case either.

Anyways-- you are always open to using your payment processor. If you used PayPal or just your credit card directly. However, moving forward do check out the MBG link provided above so that you are well versed in how it works. Best of luck to you....

Usually I dont have problems with sellers. Only 2 disputes since 2020. So I've never had such situations.
