I need to return an item for a refund. I bought it as a guest instead of on my account. I have tried about everything on here to contact eBay or the seller and not having any luck. eBay sends me a email which is supposed to have an attachment but it never has an attachment with it. I have my order number and still the original email where I purchased the item.

Have you tried this?

I have tried this and in every email that I received from Ebay, I have clicked on the "View Order Details" option and I get the same response in every one. "Order not found. Unfortunately there has been an error retrieving your order. If you need help, visit our help pages." But none of the help pages have that I have visited have a solution for this. It is like the history has been deleted. I contacted the seller. They said they couldn't find my order. I send loads of pages off confirmations and info with their name and my order number on them. They now say that they found my order, but that it has been more than 30 days. Of course it has, since I have had so much trouble finding a way to contact them. (But not by much) They are saying that I need to submit a return request through my Ebay account and that if Ebay allows me to submit a return, they will look at it. If I can't they won't be able to help me and I can find NO way to submit a request for a refund in this situation! It is a $700 printer that I purchased and is not working well, making streaky copies, etc.

Honestly, this right here just threw up a major RED FLAG.
How many days have you been working on trying to get this returned? Did you wait til day 29? If it was not "working well", "making streaky copies, etc", why didn't you start on Day 3?
Second part, WHY did you buy a $700 Printer as a "Guest"? Your account is well established. I don't see any 22 year Ebay "Member" buying a $700 Printer as a "Guest". UNLESS, that Buyer had a project in mind that they needed that $700 Printer to use for that project and were planning on returning it the day they bought it AFTER that Project was complete. Have you used that printer to the point where it is NOW making streaky copies and such?
I know of a Tax Office in the DFW area who does just this. They'll run around to all the Office Depots in their area coming Tax Time buying Printers that they're going to use Temporarily during the month of March/April for Client's Copies. Use those Printers for 3-4 weeks, hundreds / thousands of copies, then Boxes them up and returns them to Office Depot for full refunds. They do this to not run down their own $700 Printers they use regularly during the rest of the year.
How did Hank say it on BB? Walt, you're acting a little Suss here......
Why would a 22 Year Ebay Buyer BUY a $700 Printer as a "GUEST"? They probably didn't want this "Suss" purchase reflecting bad on their 22 year old account. That's why.
