Hello,
This morning I recieved a return request, stating that the item did not match the description. According to the buyer, it's not the polyester material that the label clearly says it is. I don't want to accept the return, as I'm concerned that reason will hurt my seller standings. I have a pic of the label in the jacket. What can i do?

If you don't want to accept the return, just refund and let them keep it.

Just looked at the listing (Rebecca Malone Jacket) and you do have it listed with a picture of it stating Polyester and in the item specifics. That is a tough one but you do offer Free and Easy Returns.
Things to consider
A buyer falsely claims an item was not as described
When you report the buyer - opens in new window or tab and we determine the buyer made a false claim:
- We will subsidize the return shipping label cost up to $6.00 per return. It may take up to 60 days for this amount to be credited to your account
- We'll automatically remove any related negative or neutral feedback
- The return won't be counted in your "Not as described" rate in service metrics

If it was the purple Rebecca Malone jacket, I'd do as Ken advises. No need to pay return shipping and then relist (in my opinion), and I'm usually one who advises to accept the return.
To protect your seller standings, you must accept the return or simply refund. In this case, I'd choose the latter.

That 'REASON' has ALREADY hurt your metrics- nothing you can do about that. As stated by others, if you don't want to 'ding' your metrics even further, either 'accept the return or refund'.

Hi @datazip
I’m very sorry this happened, but you will definitely hurt your standing if you do nothing.
Once the buyer gets eBay involved, eBay will refund the buyer with your money let them keep the item, charge a defect to your account, and keep your fees.
Your only real choice is to send the buyer a prepaid shipping label OR a full refund.
