Return Confusion

A few weeks ago I ordered a three (3) CD set of three Mexican rock artists (Los Crazy Boys, Los Hermanos Carrion, Los Rebeldes del Rock). A few days ago the package that was linked with that purchase arrived, but I only contained one (1) CD from a completely different group (Los Locos del Ritmo). I sent a message to the seller asking if this was a mixup, but I got no response. The seller had returns open, so 2 days ago I opened a return and clicked "received wrong item" and attached pictures of what I got and sent it. It gave me a QR code for return, and I was planning on sending it out tomorrow. It also said they had sent the request to the seller, so I wanted to wait in case THAT got them to communicate. Yet this morning I  got an email where eBay said I was issued a refund and that I should receive it in 3-5 days. Do I still need to return the item or is it now stuck with me?

If you go to your purchase history and the return is closed then you don't need to return.

You can if you want to be nice to seller, but I'd also make sure they want you to send it back. Maybe they'd on't want to pay for the return shipping label so returning it could actually be something they don't want.

Your refund can't be reversed regardless.

If the seller doesn't  provide a return label you  can keep the wrong item.

If ebay has issued the refund then you are not required to send it back and can do what you wish with it.
