can anyone tell me how to contact someone from ebay? I made a purchase using my boyfriends debit card and item was defective. Returned it and buyer says they issued a refund to the debit card. They used the correct number on the card but used my name not my boyfriends name so the refund will not post to his account. I can't get them to understand its the right numbers wrong name! Help!

That doesn't seem possible because Sellers on eBay don't have access to Buyers' credit card or any other financial information. However, here is how to contact eBay
Open an eBay page
Top left corner, click on 'help & contact'
Click on 'buying'
Bottom of the page, left side, Click on 'returns and refunds'
Click on top of the page 'return an item for a refund '
Go to bottom right of the page, in very small print click on ' have us call you'
eBay will call you in 2-9 minutes

Hi @psychob-17
Your seller merely clicked on 'Refund' ... which caused the money to be returned to the original payment source. Your seller had no idea where the money went ... and has no way of doing anything about it.
How do you know that the refund 'will not post' to your boyfriend's card? Has your boyfriend contacted the card issuer?
BTW, it often can take weeks to see the refund back on the card account ... depending on how long it takes for the card issuer to process refunds.

^^^^ This! The money automatically goes back to the original source.

The account should be credited exactly as it was debited. If your name was on the card when it was to be debited, the bank never would have processed it. If your boyfriend's name was on the card at the time the order was processed, it would automatically be there at the time of any refund. There's something that just does not sound right here. Back in the day when merchants could manually fill out charge slips, possibly. But can it even done that way anymore?
