Ebay just sent me a message to refund a buyer who lied about their return. I sent them a return label on April 19th. They didn't send it out until May 3rd. The tracking said it was accepted, but it has not left their post office. First and only scan was on May 3rd. Ebay sent me a message to refund them by May 15th. Do I have to refund them if there's been no movement on the package and I obviously haven't gotten the return yet?

If the buyer gets the first scan within 15 business days with an eBay-produced return label @elhoarder per eBay rules they will get a refund even if it's not delivered.

It depends on the scan.
What was the last scan on the package? What is the official message on the tracking.
Scams can include using a self serve kiosk where customer scans item but never dropped in bin.

I'd not worry about it until the 15th. Fingers crossed that you have it back by then!
