I purchased this by mistake and would like to return the item also I purchased the item I wanted only to find out it ten dollars cheaper. all of this was done on my Ebay site. I jumped though all their hoops and was not able to find out how to return and cancel the items.

You can't cancel an order as a buyer... only a seller can cancel. You have nothing yet to return, since nothing has come to you yet.

Your next move would be to wait until you receive the order, then open a Return request, citing, 'Found a better price'. Note that this is a remorse reason, so you'll have to pay to have the item sent back to your seller before you'll receive a refund.

Read through the Money Back Guarantee. There's some really good information there for buyers.

1, Return: Have you tried opening a return in the resolution

Have you paid for the item yet?

If you found one cheaper you will probably have to pay return shipping since it is buyer remorse

2. You cannot cancel the transaction

You will need to contact the seller and 'request to cancel' The seller is not required to cancel

Just press Return this item to return this item. To cancel, click Contact seller to contact seller.

Ask your seller.

If you already paid and they haven't shipped yet they might agree to cancel the transaction.

If they don't then if their policy is returns accepted follow @mtgraves7984's advice. After you get it find the item in your purchase history and select "Return this item" citing "found a better price."

If however their policy is returns not accepted they do not have to accept the return and you should resell it to get your money back.

Sometimes the cheapest price isn't always the best choice. I would pay more if it's from a US seller where delivery is in a week than from a seller in China that takes 2 months to deliver.
