Received my First Return Request - Need Advice

I sold a flower pot on December 15th.  This morning the buyer has requested a return.  My message from Ebay is:

The buyer has until Jan 11 to ship the item back. If you choose to refund the buyer now, then the return will close and you shouldn't expect to receive the item.

This return has been approved automatically, per the eBay returns policy.

If the buyer doesn't ship the item back by Jan 11, we may close the return automatically and you will not be required to refund the buyer.

Return Reason
Doesn't match description or photos

The color was much prettier in photos. Thanks anyway.

I am not seeing anything about sending a shipping label to the buyer.  Do I need to send a label and if so how do I do that?

if you need to send the buyer a label will depend on the reason for the return

busted or broken and you need to pay for it

just dont like it is a remorse return like wrong size or does not fit

thats the reason that "buyer pays" like you have listed can mix you up

if you switch it to seller pays or 30 day free return then ebay will always send them a label

I have 30 day free returns and I love it, nothing to think about ever

From what i see, it looks like you had 30 day returns but buyer is responsible for the shipping charges back to you. If this is the case, sit back and wait to see if it is sent back to you. Sometimes buyers forget or change their mind on sending it back.

That's what I was thinking but reading the Ebay rules for MBG returns it says: "If the buyer is sending an item back because it doesn’t match the listing description or it arrived damaged or faulty, you’re responsible for the cost of return shipping, even if you don’t offer returns. If they simply changed their mind or ordered the wrong item, who pays for return shipping is determined by your return policy."

I just want to be sure I'm doing the right thing but there is no link or anything to send the label.

You do know that, if the buyer opens an item not as described case, the SELLER will be required to send a prepaid return label and to refund in total once the returned item gets back to him, right?

Thank you.  I think I will change my policy on the free returns after this.   It can get a little confusing having the "buyer pays" with the MBG.

Of course.

I think 1tuna post  sums it up.
