Product Returns

Hello

Regarding the return of heavy and expensive products like an electric bike, what are the different solutions I could use?

What services do 3PLs offer in this case? Can they examine the condition of the product and resell it either second-hand or relist it as new?

Do they buy the product from me to resell it themselves, or do I have to advertise it as second-hand and sell it myself?

Regarding trade-in and reconditioning sites, do they buy the product from me? But if that's the case, then do they buy it back cheaply? Would it be better to advertise it myself on a second-hand site?

In any case, it's still more advantageous than paying a 3PL to store this potentially broken bike that I won't be able to resell. Or, if I do resell it, I'll have to wait several days or weeks, while a reconditioning site will take the product back for a low price, but I'll get the money right away. Do these reconditioning sites have a shipping service?

I don't understand why my Chinese suppliers don't accept returns, even though I can send them back to China on platforms like Temu.

Is this message also visible on the French, US, or UK communities?

Thank you.

When you make a purchase on Ebay you are given a 30 day money back guarantee. If the bike you received is broken you file a case and return it. The seller pays for it. This is a United States board. To have access to other boards you must log into France and UK boards. They are separate from this board. If you are past the 30 day return window then your time as expired and you will need to sell it on your own.

Hi @cyrilrcyrilr-0

I see you are in France.  When US sellers ask a question like this ... I usually recommend that they list the item for Local Pickup Only.  The buyer can examine the item ... and then pay you if they're happy with what they see.

That way you may be able to avoid having to pay the return shipping if the buyer claims the item is 'not as described in some way after they receive it.

You could probably benefit greatly from reading eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers.

For instance, if/when a buyer receives an item that is not as described, he has 30 days to open an NAD case with eBay.  Please read about how that works.

You also might find some helpful information with reading all that you can find about selling on eBay.

Quite a few of the questions you have asked can be answered by doing some reading.

Because they don't want their junk back.

Have a great day.

But then why do Chinese temu suppliers accept returns?

Isn't that a question you'd have to ask them?
