Started a return for missing items, seller accepted and sent a return label which was just their address, no postage label.
We had discussed me returning in person as I was local but I wanted them to refund while was there, since I would have no proof of return. They declined unless I was happy to sit in my car and wait for maybe 4 or more hours, obviously I didn't want this so I decided to post with tracking.
Only there is no way to enter a tracking number on the returns page as they just entered into that section "customerreturn"
I also have no way of asking eBay to intervene.
Advice please.

Did you buy the return shipping already? If not, you should be contacting eBay CS to let them know the seller did not provide a prepaid label. Seller is responsible for return shipping when there are missing pieces.
If you already purchased the label, I suggest contacting eBay CS and asking them to add the tracking number to the return on your behalf. You can go through the eBay help pages and use the chat bot and keep clicking more options until you get a live rep, or you can send a DM to one of eBay's social CS teams: ebayforbusiness on facebook, ebayforsellers on insta, askebay on X
