So I bought an iPhone 12 mini (listed as brand new & unlocked) around 5 months ago. Recently when I tried to activate the phone my carrier told me that it wasn’t in fact brand new, it was blacklisted and refurbished. I spent $600+ on the phone and reported the seller for violating eBay’s policies, will I still be able to receive a refund from eBay even though it’s been longer than 30 days? I’m super bummed about this

30 days is not 5 months, it is clearly mentioned on eBay that you have 30 from delivery to file a claim. You waited a bit of time for this, must have not had an urgent need for it. Your only recourse is file a claim via your payment source, most credit cards offer 6 months for this.

When it comes to used cell phones, I prefer dealing locally and meeting in a carrier to confirm that phone will work. Simple.

I hope you paid by credit card. If so, file a case with your card company.  eBay purchases have to always be inspected as soon as they arrive as you only have 30 days to file a case with them.
