I sold a new item prepackaged, buyer did not like "feel" of item, against my better judgement I allowed a return. I never received the item back from buyer, Ebay helped but all I got from Ebay was "Item completed", what does THAT mean. Because of this First time to refund, I'll most likely never allow returns again.

There are 3 possibilities:
1. If you allowed the remorse return and the buyer didn't send the item back, you shouldn't have had to issue the refund.
2. If you refunded before accepting and receiving the return, you goofed.
3. If you accepted the return and waited to receive the item before issuing a refund, the hold on your funds would have been released if the buyer never returned the item.
Based on your title, it sounds like #2 happened and you're SOL for your error.

If you refunded the buyer before the buyer sent your item back, you are out of luck -- your buyer will probably NOT be returning the item.
Always wait for a buyer to open an official return request case before refunding the buyer. Once you have received your item back from the buyer, only THEN should you send them a refund.

Thanks alberta, seems as tho I goofed as specified. Sorry for the long wait to respond, I'm still learning the ropes within EBay.
