I received a return package for two items I didn't even sell. They were both in one package shipped by USPS. I have the USOS tracking number, eBay return ID number, eBay order number, and the person to whom the package was originally addressed. What should I do with this stuff? I have no idea how my name and address got on the return address. I'm not particularly interested in paying for shipping or even taking the time to ship it since I had nothing to do with it in the first place.
As I said, I do have several reference numbers, but nothing that I do any further search with.
Regards,
Neal N.

A nice person would contact the buyer or seller and tell them you have their items and see what they want to do about it.

The fact that you have posted on this forum shows that you are a decent person and want to do the right thing.
Sadly doing the right thing means having to spend some time and effort for little or no reward.
If you are able to contact the intended recipient then please consider sending them a message and advising them that they need to contact their seller who needs to arrange a pick up of this package.
Recipient may not even respond as it may be in their interest that the package has been misdelivered and they now have evidence that this is the case.
If you are a seller and you had a return opened then don't be surprised if your item has been sent to person whose item you have received.
Still you would have done the decent thing.
