Getting a refund

I purchased a suitcase handle from a seller and although it was nice it did not fit, there are so many dimensions with suitcases that you just don't think about.  I initiated a return with the seller.  I then thought I would add that if they if had a handle that would fit I would gladly do an even exchange.  I thought I needed to close this return to make this edit.  Well, I closed the return - period.  I didn't realize that would be an issue.  I reached out to the seller.  They were always very nice but were constantly delaying the process.  They finally sent me a return label.  I tracked the package and when they had received the package over 3 days, I contacted them for my refund.  They said sorry took too long and the return is closed.  I said how could that be since I have been in touch with them constantly and used the label they sent and they received the item.  I gave them a negative review but is there anything else I can do?  I don't know if I will ever stop on ebay again because I don't feel that there is any support for buyers.  Am I wrong about this?

Getting a refund

It always best to read the eBay MBG (Money Back Guarantee) when the process of returning or disputing an item purchased. Policies may change and/or get updated so reviewing the P&P's can help eliminate any confusion.

You have the tools that can protect you, but you do have to read them and understand them. It is business, not personal so there really is no reason that anyone should just "TRUST" a Seller and that goes for Buyers as well.

You may want to look into disputing the charge from your bank/credit card if the seller is refusing to honor their agreement.

Getting a refund

You bought the wrong item.

Seller provided a return shipping label.

You closed the return.

You gave the seller negative feedback and it's all Ebay's fault.

Have a great day.

Getting a refund

When you closed the case you gave up your rights to a return and refund. When you returned the item you relied on the seller to refund you. They are not obligated through Ebay to do so once you closed the case. You unfortunately thought wrong when you closed the return case. So yes your thinking was wrong and you need to follow the instructions. It even states once you close the case you can't reopen it. Ebay specifically states this.
