Fraudulent return reason

1. A buyer order two identical items from be in January and left positive feedback.

2. This same buyer ordered another one 3 weeks ago and initiated a return the day it was delivered saying that the item did not match my photos or listing.

3. Returning the item is not a problem as I have a 30-day return policy for any reason

4. The problem is the reason he gave cost me $32.50 in shipping charges to return the item (it weighed 18 lbs)

5. Twice I asked the buyer for info on what did not match..... no response

6. I found that the buyer is located in Bangkok, Thailand. The order in January shipped to an address in Texas and the order 3 weeks ago shipped to an address in Virginia.

7. I approved the return and sent the buyer a shipping label. It's been returned and I issued a refund.

Any suggestions on if I should report the buyer? Any way to get my $32.50 back?

Not exactly sure what you'd report the buyer for.  Can you expand a little bit on that topic?

Re: Fraudulent return reason

The buyer lied about the real reason for the return causing me to have to pay for return shipping. He purchased 2 of this same item 2 months ago without any complaints. He now purchases another of the exact same item and returns because it did not match photos or description.

Re: Fraudulent return reason

I had a buyer do an NAD return too, said the audiobook would'nt play in their car. I receive it back and guess what? Yep, it played fine in all of my vehicles. They did say in a message that they "just didn't like the reader". Buyers will lie to not have to pay shipping on a remorse return. You won't be able to prove it or get the money back for shipping.  It sucks, I know, but it is what it is.  I would block that buyer from further purchases.

Re: Fraudulent return reason

If the buyer used a freight forwarder, they voided the MBG. Although it was very nice of you to provide a label, that cost should have been on them.
