Excessive Returns

I handle shipping for a business, I have had more returns in the past week than I have in 6 years. Has anyone else experienced this problem recently? For example, I had a IPhone 14 pro checked by our local cell phone store to make sure it wasn’t blacklisted or anything. The cell shop told me that it wasn’t blacklisted or anything in that manner. A few days ago buyer sent the company a message saying it has been blacklisted and wants a refund. Another one was a broken guitar due to shipping, unfortunately the buyer can’t get me pictures of the damaged box but has sent me picture of the chipped guitar. Another one is a rifle scope buyer said the scope dials wouldn’t turn even though the scope was checked before it was shipped.

Excessive Returns

Other than the phone, the other two returns sound like a poor packing problem.

Have you processed these returns and received the items back and inspected them?

Since I can't see your seller account, I won't bother speculating on anything or trying to offer advice.

My return rate runs about 3%. I have not had any bad return experiences over the last several years. Perhaps a couple that were avoided by simply stating, "sorry you are not happy with your purchase, please return for refund".  Then nothing but crickets from the buyers.

You "handle shipping for a business"? Does that mean you do not sell, only ship for someone else?

ALL eBay need to be well aware of the Money Back Guarantee for buyers.  Basically, it states that a buyer can open an item not as described case and the seller basically has no option but to send a prepaid return label and refund in full when the item arrives back to him.

If the seller balks at this, there is a pretty good chance that eBay will refund the buyer from the seller's funds and will allow the buyer to keep the item which he claims to be defective.
