I am trying to upload tracking info and the Ebay form refuses to take the info. Subsequently it shows I must take action in the pending return case. The tracking number works online and now shows the package as being delivered but I still cant get the Ebay form to accept the number.
any suggestions.
I would turn to Ebay support but , oh wait! there isnt ANY...

The easiest way to contact customer service is to send a message through ebay Facebook or Twitter. They are usually quite efficient.

If it's USPS try making a custom tracking number by pasting the item number onto the beginning of your actual tracking number. (Put the number together and make sure USPS website tracking will read it correctly first before trying on Ebay.)

It was shipped usps (i believe priority) but it was a prepaid return shipping label prompted by ebay. I tried the combination item#tracking# and ebay accepted it but now ebay just sent a message telling me the package is on its way... BACK TO ME????
Still no way to actually get anything resembling customer service... I mean you folks are super nice and awesome but isn't it a little weird a 10billion dollar company has to resort to its customers providing customer support???

And USPS shows the package as delivered... it was a 100$ book in **bleep** condition and the seller refused to accept a return. Ebay approved the return after I sent pictures to the "file a return" department...

Copy the tracking you placed with ebay and see what it says.

'USPS wont take the number, says its not a USPS number....
