First let me state I've been on Ebay 25 years, 100% rating always. This experience was a TOTAL failure on Ebay Authenticity Department. The purchased item went to NJ/Moonachie authenticity first, then was sent to me via FedEx, arrived totally destroyed (box retaped, purse and pouch inside damaged). I immediately called Ebay Authenticity. This turned into literally a 6+ week ordeal, spent at least 10 hours, multiple calls. Zero follow up by Authenticity department although I was promised, asked multiple times to speak to supervisor to no avail. This case was completely mishandled from start to finish, so disappointed with how many times I had to call, one person told me one thing, another told me something completely different and in the end the seller got screwed? Finally refunded however the seller-who had no involvement was charged back and made to pay and the damaged purse and pouch is being returned to seller! What the heck Ebay, talk about dropping the ball. Why should the seller be charged when the damage happened between Authentication and my home? Terrible experience so disappointed.

Many people state length of time on eBay along with their feedback both are never taken into consideration for anything. Buyer feedback is meaningless since all buyers can only receive positive feedback.
eBay didn’t “drop the ball”. Unless you purchased the item from eBay’s Authenticity department or through eBay’s International shipping program returns are sent to the seller you bought from and refunds come out of the sellers funds. That is how returns work.
