We have been hit hard recently by a drop shipping scam that ebay should be taking notice of. What is happening... you have a drop shipper ordering items from your store and having the item shipped to another location. Then they ship an empty package to your zip code from a random address not even in their own state listed. Ebay doesn't check for address and only the zip code and the item delivered. These scammers know this and are exploiting it. They do this using several different user names ordering the same item repeating the process over and over. Ebay, sellers have the information of the people being drop shipped to and these people are the only ones that know who they are ordering from (the drop shippers). They just don't know someone is getting scammed in the process. Consider collecting the information of the people we are shipping to and getting the information of the actual seller (drop shipper) from them so we can get their main account deactivated. Otherwise they will just keep doing this as you guys will refund them even when the item isn't received by us. This will put us out of business.

Not limited to drophippers. Yes it's a great scam and works very well. You have to get a letter from the shipper saying it was not delivered to your address. An email will do. Then if you paid by credit card , contact your card company. It's much harder with eBay or paypal. It's been going on for over fifteen years now but have really picked up as more crooks learn how good it works.

Same here. I have been hit with 6 in the past month, and have another just filed today. I have caught all 6 (us todays) before they have even been returned, and ebay has found in my favor every time. I can give you specifics of what to look for and how to handle, you are welcome to email me. I will not post publicly how I catch them before they are even returned ( I don want the scamming scumbags to know), but if you want to email me, I can help with what to look for, and specificlly how to deal with it. It is not just dropshipers, although they are more prevalent.
