Money Back Guarantee - ha! I tried to return an item because the box (a collector's item) was completely crushed during shipping (after finally finding a NIB and paying a premium for it). The seller said too bad and started calling my personal phone and texting me in the middle of the night (I didn't even know that eBay shared my personal phone number with sellers). Finally, the seller said if I returned it at my cost, she'd refund it (she insisted on speaking only over text and berating me instead of using eBay messaging). Well, the return postage was going to be $96 (I don't have a business account or anything). That was going to cancel the refund!! I contacted Customer Service and they opened a case for me and told me to let them know if I didn't receive a label, but then they closed the case at seller's request and said I didn't use a "covered" method of payment! I ONLY use PayPal, and for 7 years I have paid full asking price immediately at check out with PayPal (I don't make offers - I just pay what is asked as long as it's fair to support hard-working sellers). The policy clearly says PayPal is covered!!! I have dealt with some WONDERFUL sellers over the years, but this was my first time with one that didn't want to do their part - that packed a collector's item in a soft-corrugated toilet paper box and then said it was not covered. Nothing was done about the harassment from the seller outside of eBay platforms, and nothing was done to make this right. For my own safety and because eBay does not honor their policies, I am done. I even contacted eBay privacy office about the abuse of my personal information and never heard back. I had $400 worth of merchandise in my cart when I saw the notification from eBay that said "sorry you had a bad experience, but we are closing your case because you did not use a covered method of payment". Be WARNED folks - they are sharing your information, and they are claiming PayPal payments are not covered if you have a problem. I will have no more problems - there are other platforms where I can buy things, and they they DO honor their own policies. People need to be aware and know that they are safely shopping - I can no longer do that here.

Did you open the case on eBay for item not as described?
Return an item for a refund | eBay
Have you filed an appeal if the case was closed?
Appeal the outcome of a case as a buyer | eBay

That's really sad to hear I hope it gets better for you and makes me think if I really should shop on here anymore.

The item you left negative feedback for, describing this issue, did not say it was "New in box", or even say that it had the original box at all. It says that there is a box, but not that it was the original box, or what condition it was in.
The condition was:
"New other (see details)
"A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear. The item may be missing the original packaging, or in the original packaging but not sealed. The item may be a factory second or a new, unused item with defects. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections." (emphasis added)
