Customer wants money off instead of returning the item

Hi,

Sold an item last week, customer wasn’t happy with the item. I offered them £20 back they said they’d be happy with £30. As she rejected the £20 eBay then said to her to return the item using the pre paid label. I know can do anything with this? I can’t find a number to contact anyone either. Please any help would be much appreciated

Hi @char-hens

Your buyer was only allowed to accept or reject your offer of a partial refund.  They aren’t allowed to request a partial refund themselves.

There is no further negotiating possible for a partial refund themselves.   Your buyer either returns the item for a full refund OR keeps the item.  You’d be wasting your time trying to contact an eBay agent.  They can’t change the rules.  Sorry.

Since the buyer rejected your partial refund offer, they either keep the item or return it for a full refund.

Have a great day.

Nothing more for you to do until you receive the item back. If you do, you refund in full.  If they don't return it, the case will close and it's over.    Many buyers never get around to sending items back so you may get lucky.
