Counterfeit products

Seller is selling counterfeit products. I reported it on feedback and ebay removed it. I’m sure the next buyer who gets ripped off would like to know that it could have been prevented by ebay. What is feedback for if. Not to warn buyers. I have no faith in that system anymore and ebay is going downhill fast in my opinion

You did file an item not as described case and get a refund?    Any other buyers can do the same if the item is fake.  eBay does not have a any good way to check if such feedback statements are true.

eBay will NOT accept a user's opinion that an item is fake. That can only be done by the rights holder if they participate in the VERO program.

Just think of the abuse that could occur if every Tom, Dick and Harry could claim a seller's items are fake and have eBay take action on that basis.

eBay removes negative feedback if the seller offers Free returns.

If a buyer has a reasonable belief the item is fake they can say that.

Free returns and top rated sellers might be able to get it removed and that's just a license for top rated sellers to get by with  selling fakes.

Feedback needs to be used properly and by following the policies on this platform by everyone. You are leaving negatively written comments using positive green feedback, which is against policy on here. You are lucky those buyers haven't noticed them, or they could get your account suspended. You stating something is fake is the whole

guilty before being proved innocent

You are not hired by eBay to be the deciding factor if something is fake or not

You could be the competition trying to destroy a competitor

So, you say something 'incriminating' about someone on feedback and that recipient can have it removed.
