Correction "unreasonable"

I recieved this request for return.  Can a buyer request a return for just any reason?  Like "changed my mind".
The listing was clear that the golf club was a senior flex shaft,  so he buys it and now a month later dedides that it is the wrong flex, he now decides he needs a Regular Flex.  It seems unreasonable, that buyers should have some responcibility to live with ther decisions when they just "change their mind."  What is the Ebay position on this situation?

'Changed my mind'  is a valid Return reason, albeit a remorse reason. The buyer has 30 days to request a return from you... whether or not you accept a remorse return is your call. The buyer would be responsible for return shipping costs, if you do. Good luck.

Has the buyer used the club.  Sounds like they have if they if they found it too flimsy for their swing.

If the golf club has been used to hit balls, it is not in the same condition as when you sent it.  I believe you can deny the return request, and if they try to claim not as described later, you can claim that they changed the condition of the item by using it.

That item Callaway XR OS #7 Iron - Graphite Fubuki Senior Flex sold on Mar 11, 2 1/2 weeks ago, and the estimated shipping time shown is over 2 weeks. Don't know when it was delivered exactly, but it could have been only a few days ago. Definitely not a month ago.

The listing offers 30 day returns, buyer pays shipping. On eBay, accepting returns means that you accept returns for any reason, or no reason at all. If you don't want to accept returns when the buyer just changes their mind, then you need to change your return policy.

eBay's position on this: eBay will enforce the return policy on your listing, and in addition, if the buyer claims the item is not as described (in their opinion) then you will have to refund them in full, and if you want the item back, then you have to pay the return shipping.

ebay enforces returns period regardless of policy.

You have a return policy, buyers expect you to honor it. What's so unreasonable about that?

@bike416

If you accept returns, buyers can return it for any reason or no reason at all.

Have a great day.

If they requested the return within 30 days after it was delivered you must accept their request.  For changed my mind, the buyer is responsible for shipping.

If it's returned in worse condition Top Rated Sellers can deduct up to 50% from the refund for the decreased value.

Everything the Op household is already listed as used so this is really stupid advice.

The club was sold as pre-owned so seller cannot claim it's in different condition than sold. Seller accepts returns so they have to accept this one, only buyer has to pay for return shipping.  Also buyers can only open one return case so they cannot first claim a remorse return then open a second INAD return for same item. You should probably read the returns policy if you are going to offer advice. Best of luck to you....

@lamber9347  ah ok, my response was also based on the assumption that they were listed as new and the seller would be getting back "definitely" used clubs.
