Not exactly sure I'm going to return an item. But is a seller states the item I purchased is NEW in the original box. How do I know this if this is an open box item. It's been handled. I don't have that warm fuzzy feeling that it has not been used or defective for that matter.

If you have received it and it's not as described, you do understand eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, right?

reminds me of the buyer who purchased a pair of Ivanka Trump boots which I advertised as new in box. I had to remove the boots from their tissue covering to take a photo so a potential buyer would know what they looked like. This buyer claimed since I touched them they were not new. How do you suggest a seller take photos if they cannot touch the item. I really don't understand some buyers.

Just check the seller's address on google....is it a house, apartment, vacant lot(there's have been a few), commercial lot...need to check where item is coming from. And just check their feedback...have they been selling a lot...selling same items....is their account very new. Probably have nothing to worry about until you see the item.

This reminds me of the story about shoes. A lot of buyers bought shoes and these shoes like fell apart the day people wore them. Apparently, the seller was selling shoes which for people who departed and were for their feet in their coffin. And not for everyday wear. One never knows.
