I recently had a buyer order several orders from me all at once. They sent me a message shortly after ordering wondering when I was going to ship the expensive item out. Now the buyer is requesting to send that one order back, with the reason, "ordered by mistake". I have no problem giving a return. But since I know for a fact they didn't order by mistake because they messaged me about it. I am worried it is going to be a scam and I won't get the expensive item back. Any advice on how to proceed?

Hi @michmcc3870
‘Ordered by mistake’ can have several different meanings … but the one thing they have in common is that the buyer is blaming themselves for the problem, rather than the seller.
Although you can never be certain, I would not expect a scam at this point. If the listing permits returns … you need to accept the return and see what happens. You will have some options later if your fears are warranted.

Yes a scam is highly possible ... here is a link to Seller Protections ... they seemed rather interested to know when the expensive item would be shipped ...
