Buyer wants to return jacket she purchased (“does not fit, too small”) … she has started the return process through eBay stating she wants to return it because jacket “does not fit, too small”.
I had pertinent measurements clearly showing in my listing and have a no return policy…
I declined the return through eBay yesterday and eBay closed the case.
I have written to buyer and explained that I do not accept returns and reminded her that all the measurements were in the listing. I suggested that she could resell the jacket…
if buyer ships item back, can I simply refuse delivery so tracking will show that it is not in my possession?
I am extremely grateful for any help that anyone can provide. Thank you very, very much!

I think that what @kensgiftshop is suggesting is that they could win a claim with their payment source without returning.

The buyer will probably file a claim with their payment source and you might end up losing the jacket and payment.

Perhaps you mis-measured. Accept the return.

Ah... the 'Hot Potato' offense.
In the spirit of "any help that anyone can provide", I'll offer that I don't think you need to worry about ^^^ this happening.

Thank you so much for your quick reply, I appreciate it more than you know!
If they try to return the package And I refuse delivery and it goes back to them…, could they win a claim on their end if it shows that I do not have the item in my possession and that I shipped it to them?

Here's my take.
I try not to worry about chargebacks and when I read posts suggesting that the return should be accepted to avoid risk of a chargeback, IMO it encourages the bad buyer behavior.
As a seller who has a no return policy, I've don't deny return requests from buyers who are honest enough to admit to remorse/fit reasons. Too many buyers simply lie and claim NAD because they're too cheap to pay for the return.
So I do accept the return letting the buyer know that return shipping is on them and since I charge separately for shipping, I let them know that the refund will be for the item price. (Original shipping was paid toward the original label and isn't refundable.)
Since you also have a separate shipping charge, you can issue a refund for the item price only. You don't have to refund shipping. (I'm not sure how it works if you do "free" shipping.)
As I understand, you're still out the FVF because partial refunds don't qualify for fee reimbursement but at least you're almost made whole.
And because the buyer doesn't feel stuck having to keep an item they don't want, my buyers haven't complained.

If they file a claim with their credit card, they would probably win and it wouldn't matter if you had the item back or not.
