Buyer requested to return item reason "ordered by mistake".

So a buyer purchased an item from me through the ebay global shipping program. The item I sold was listed as no returns. The buyer has now opened a request to return the item because the buyer ordered by mistake and says they don't want to wait 5-6 weeks because they can find the item cheaper by then.

Right now, I have four options to choose from:

  • Accept the return
Contact the buyer to work out return shipping details. Wait to get the item back before you refund the buyer.
  • Give a full refund
You fully refund the buyer to close this request. The buyer keeps the item.
  • Offer a partial refund.
You have one chance to offer an amount. The buyer keeps the item.
  • Decline the return
This will automatically close the buyer's request.

I'm going to decline the return, but my worry is that once I decline the return, the item will get delivered, and then the buyer will open a claim for "item not as described" or "missing parts."

Does anyone know if the buyer could open another claim on the item once the item was delivered?

Buyer requested to return item reason "ordered by mistake".

Decline the return. It will close the case in your favor. He won't  be able to reopen the case or file another case on eBay.
