Has anyone ever been charges twice using the Buy It Now functionality? The seller only saw demand for two items, now we are stuck with a return shipping issue.
How can we get eBay to cover due to technical issue?

This is no answer, and I'm not sure how related this is, but as a buyer I've had at least 3 occasions on iPhone App where hitting "Buy It Now" (on fixed-price listings, in which Buy It Now skips cart and goes straight to payment) and in bringing up redundant Pay Now screens, duplicates the order, even though I only initiated a single order. Usually the same sequence does NOT duplicate, it's seemingly random. I've meant to always use Cart to order by app, but forgot and it just happened again, and the seller shipped before I noticed. Annoying because going straight to payment seems ostensibly to make things more streamlined, but sometimes complicates things terribly - for the seller as well, who are usually nice enough to accept a return. It's a hot mess and Ebay should fix it.

I'm confused. Did you have two separate transactions, or one transaction with a quantity of two instead of one?

Placed one order, for 1 item. The app brings up a Pay Now button, I press it, ANOTHER Pay Now button appears, I click again. Then somehow two separate orders of 1 item each have been placed. This never happens with the Cart or ordering through Browser, but has happened 3 times on App using "Buy It Now"

FYI, nowhere does it ask me if I want to buy the item again, or ask to select item quantity (usually I don't even notice if the seller has multiples to sell, which is irrelevant to me.) It seems their software aces need to swallow their pride and simplify Buy It Now. Based on other threads I've seen, a basic, commonly used feature should never cause this much confusion and stress.

You have articulated the same issue I encountered much better than I did in the original post. Thanks for the response, hopefully eBay will address the glitch in the near future.
