Is ebay ever gonna make it a fair international market for US sellers, the outrageous postal increases a couple years ago has wiped out 99% of my international sales. I know and heard too many times that ebay dosen't set shipping prices but why hasn't ebay lobbyied congress about chinese e packets causing the increase US postage. I'm just one seller losing $8-10k a year in sales so I couldn't even fathom the tens of thousand US sellers losing too and ebay not seeing the lost revenue.
I see all the stories and blogs about expanding your business international but how when China pay's pennies for shipping and most other countries pay $4-$5 for 8 ounces and US sellers pay $13. I've tried to contact government officials but I'm a person, they don't care about a person but if big corps get involved maybe something can be done. Chinese e-packets are the main reason international shipping is so high, the US people are paying for it. I don't have the links but can be found easliy found in the community.
PLEASE PLEASE someone up high needs to look into helping with this,

Hi @golfingaddict, while I understand a situation like this can be upsetting, we do expect the transaction to be completed. Cancelling it would result in a valid defect since this can cause a bad experience for the buyer. From what I've experienced, it's uncommon for a buyer to use a guest account to bypass a block. In most cases buyers will find the item from another seller and purchase it from them. With that said, we can offer protections if we have clear evidence that the buyer intended to disrupt your business by going around this block. Since this evidence isn't typically available at the onset of a transaction, we can't take preemptive steps to cancel it or remove defects.

How long have you been selling on ebay.
This guy purchased a couple of times from me in the past 60 days. I knew his name/address/city/phone information. I chose to stop doing business with him. And when he inquired as to why he was blocked, I found a sale from a guest user with the EXACT same Name/address/city for the exact same item that he inquired about only an hour before.
I'm not stupid. He used a guest account to go around the block.
I'm guessing he knew exactly what he was doing. He couldn't buy with his buying/selling account so he used the guest account

question about ebay stock photos
I used ebay stock photos on some of my auctions, mostly cd,dvd and blu-rays.
Ebay is saying those auctions are not compliant with ebay policy. I assume it is because they are to small.
Why would ebay provide small pictures as stock photos and then pass the buck onto the seller who used them and say that it is not compliant?

1. In a remorse return situation you would be able to withhold charged shipping from the refund to the buyer, and any restocking fee stipulated in the listing. If you use 'free' shipping, you wouldn't be able to withhold an additional amount as the buyer was never charged anything, this is where the restocking fee comes into its own.
You are feeding into the inaccurate theory that Free Shipping meand it is actually free. That as most of us knows is certainly not true. It is Shipping Included since we roll the cost of shipping into the purchase price. And this isn't what you said last week.
2. A return request will stay open for up to 30 business days from the last action taken before it will time out (at which point we would close it). In this situation you'd want to escalate it to us for review, as we would typically find that in your favor. I realize that this is another piece of work for you in this busy time, but that's the quickest way to resolution. You could always message us on Facebook or Twitter and our teams there could work to help to save you a call!
So it that new too. It is NOT what the screen says for the claim. Plus that isn't they's rule. The buyer has a certain number of days to ship the item back. If the buyer does not do that, then case can be closed. The 30 day period is if the buyer is just not responding to the seller. They haven't agree to return the item or whatever. But once the label is issued the buyer has [I think] 5 business days in which to ship it back.
This is from the MBG: The buyer must ship the item back to the seller within 5 business days from when the buyer starts the return.

Sorry to be confusing! Let me clarify:
If a remorse return is selected you can withhold the original charged shipping. I failed to stipulate that in the chat last week, I just said 'original shipping'. I'm sorry for the confusion.
If neither party takes action the longest a return request would stay open is up to 30 business days, after which it would time-out/close. A buyer does have a set timeframe to upload tracking to prove it's on its way back to you - if they fail to do so you can escalate the return and we would find it in your favor. I wanted to make sure that you were aware we would not proactively escalate a return unless requested. Sorry again for the confusion!

Question about ebay guarenteed delivery as my items are not displaying propery or at allIf I have first class and priority listed as options for buyers on most auctions and some items listed with next day delivery.
Sot hat is 2 or 3 options for a buyer to choose when buying an item. The default is always the cheaper option for the buyer.
If a buyer chooses to use the guarenteed delivery search that is listed on ebay pages are both or all 3 of my options visable to buyers? or does ebay only allow 1 option to be seen by buyers?
And the options that are seen are they correctly showing? A priioity item will have either 1 2 or 3 day delivery shown on the label when I print it. 1 day would be close to when I live , 2 days shows for areas close to my state and 3 days shows as anything further. Does the system account for that information?
Some items i have listed with next day delivery and those are not displaying in the guarenteed delivery when I search and all should be displyed as an option for buyers, same with prioity mail as it is a 3 day service and all of my items with priority should show.
I have already adjusted all my buy it now auctions to comply with the terms of the program
Hi @mallontown, it's a great idea to offer more than one shipping service. If a buyer uses the Guaranteed Delivery filter in search, they'll be shown the service that guarantees delivery within 3 business days. If both shipping options estimate delivery within 3 business days the the less expensive option will be displayed to the buyer. The system takes the buyers zip code and the zip code the item is located in to estimate the delivery date. I checked a few of your listings and they are estimated a 4 business day delivery day. If the estimated delivery date is longer than 4 business days, the item will not be included in Guaranteed Delivery search results.

Can't seem to turn on local pickup option on adv listing page.
I've tried off and on for several weeks, and it just doesn't work.
Hi @vrykalak, I'm not aware of any issues with the local pickup option. If your listing meets all the requirements listed here but you still aren't able to add it, I recommend contacting customer support so they can take a closer look.

Hi @mallontown we definitely want to be sure all stock photos meet our requirements. If it turns out to not be an issue with the images in the catalog, there are some other things you can check. I've found that some 3rd party tools may compress images in listings when relisted through those tools. This makes the images smaller than our required pixel size, which will cause you to receive warnings. If you use a 3rd party tool then you'll want to check on that. Also, if your listings have been on the site for a long time then it's possible that over time the images have run into problems. Try deleting the stock photo's and uploaded them again to see if that resolves the warning. If the warnings persists, please report it to customer support so they can make our catalog team is aware.
