Hi Brian
You replied to my last week chat question post #86
Now why wouldn't USPS insurance be included in the drop down of the new label for Priority mail packages ?
I have many items over the $50.00/$100.00 free USPS coverage that I add insurance to.
It was always available on the classic label & sellers should have this option to Choose what coverage we want
I do not want Ship Cover . You are still offering additional insurance for Priority packages but only from ship cover
ebay is taking away our decision on which one to use & it is not right.

Hi TRINTON, A couple of years ago we were promised a replacement for TURBO LISTER and that it would be part of the NEW SELLER HUB "soon". Can you please fill everyone in on when EXACTLY we can expect this replacement, this is a major concern for myself and I am sure many others with ALL LISTINGS going GTC. Those of us who have stores and thousands of listings have been waiting patiently for a LONG TIME for this feature to be added to the HUB. This is of utmost importance now with the GTC rollout. When can we expect this feature to be added?

Regarding GTC, one objection to GTC is that GTC listings only get a newly listed search "bump" when first listed. 30 day (or ten day) get the bump every time they are manually relisted. Sellers don't want to lose that bump. My question: what is that bump worth? We know there's a bump in the Newly Listed search sort, but can you provide some rough statistics here? What percentage of searches are Best Match? Newly LIsted? Ending Soonest? And within Best Match, how much weight is given to a newly listed listing? Any real information here would be helpful.
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - there aren't any details regarding the weighting of factors in Best Match or the percentage of searches done with that option (or others) that I can provide. Thanks!

@mam98031 Good luck on getting the FB system overhauled ... I agree that changes or something different would be better then the current unbalanced system.
alan@ebay Perhaps the (384) number beside each members name could simply represent the total transactions they have been part of instead of the number of Feedback's they've received ...

Any use of the eBay Marks, Materials or any eBay intellectual property (including, without limitation, copying, modification, the creation of derivative works or distribution of content incorporating any the foregoing) without the prior express written permission of eBay is prohibited. So eBay can take anything I say or do, then edit, modify, add to, delete from, dub, etc., in any way they want, forever. And they can assign this right to any third party they want, who can also change it in any way they want, forever.
Don't care for that.
Hi @vrykalak,
Glad to hear you're a fan of Open! Make sure you come find me and say hello this year.
Re the rights ownership, I don't think this is anything new. We had similar information posted on signs at the event last year. We capture crowd shots and interviews at the conference each year to use for recap and marketing purposes. In my opinion, it's all pretty innocent, here is the video from last year: https://ebayopen.com/media/home_video.34895da8.mp4
Thanks

I have a concern about GTC, and using the "out of stock" (OOS) option.
With the new requirement for all fixed price listings to be GTC (with 30 day renewal) we need to be able to select the "OOS" option on an individual basis rather than an "all, or none" basis. All fixed price lisitngs being GTC has taken away that OOS choice.
"All, or none" was workable when we are allowed to individually choose GTC, or not GTC.
Using OOS with only a single "all, or none" option, if I have an item that I only have one (1) of (OOAK),when sold it would go to zero, be hidden from search, and renew at 30 days unless ended manually.
About 1/2 of my listings are OOAK.
While OOS may work for an item that I may get more of, there are many times that I will not have another in the near future, (listing duration) or ever. This wastes a listing by renewing something that I do not have. If we need to constantly monitor the single quantity listings, and manually end them when the item sells it creates more work rather than making eBay an easier place to sell.
Give us back the "OOS" choice by at the time of listing, and make it so that it can be edited in bulk.
Here are the more organized thoughts of another community poster.
QUOTED FROM A RECENT THREAD ON THE SELLING BOARD
When all listings change to Good 'Til Cancelled sellers will need the ability to disable the global out of stock setting at the listing level.
I have a lot of multi quantity and multi variation listings. I set them at GTC and I use the Out of Stock (OOS) feature which keeps those listings alive until I am able to restock.
I also have a lot of single quantity listings that I set at 30 day fixed price.
When the rollover to GTC happens using the OOS feature means I will have to manually end every single quantity listing that sells, and in some cases where a buyer purchases near the end of the cycle those listings may renew before I get the chance to end them costing me store listings or additional fees for something that's sold, out of stock, and won't be restocked.
Manually ending so many listings that are sold out is going to be a lot of work.
OOS is currently a global account setting. I would like the option to disable OOS at the listing level for items where I have a single quantity and I know I will not be getting more stock.
Hi @buyselljack2016, this is a great callout! I will look into this further and update you once I have more solid information

I'm not sure how to really get this info out to eBay especially buyers. But there are sellers on eBay selling vehicle tires without providing the DOT manufacturer code. The last 4 digits of the code represent the week and year the tire was made and should not be used 6 years after this date. This is a tire industry recommendation and DOT regulation. I recently (2/19) purchased a "new" tire and mounted it. About a week later it was flat without ever being on the road. I finally found a pin hole leak in the sidewall. After some checking I found out about the 6 year rule. I contacted the seller who refused my return because I mounted it! I now have eBay involved in the return matter. I checked with another seller who was selling the same tire as a used "take-off" but never on the road, he said his tire was over 11 years old! Tire shops will not even think about mounting a tire that old and they return/discard all tires that are 6 years old.
Attached is the DOT stamp on my tire, all tires manufactured after 2000 are required to have this.
Tire Safety Group:
For most tires, this expiration date should be six years from the date of manufacture. Tires age dangerously because of a chemical process commonly referred to as oxidation, which simply means that as the tire components are exposed to oxygen, the oxygen particles cause the flexible components of a tire to harden and become brittle. Over time, the tire will simply fall apart under normal stress, just like an old rubber band. Because this process occurs naturally, it does not matter if a tire is being used, stored as a spare, or simply waiting on a store shelf for an unsuspecting consumer.

ebay and Sales Velocity: Wouldn't a better negotiated rate with USPS help with sales velocity? App sites competing with ebay have negotiated these, why not ebay?
My understanding has been that the "negotiated" eBay rates were actually the same as USPS Click-'n'-Ship on-line rates offered on their own website (at least, those identified as on-line discounted prices as opposed to retail prices). Are competing sites offering USPS shipping methods that are priced lower than eBay rates for the same methods?

How would a buyer vet their seller before choosing where to purchase?????

Many thanks.
