Good question, @my-cottage-books-and-antiques.

We do have this feature in limited availability in other categories, but it is not necessarily as involved as in Parts & Accessories. Today we have P&A experts providing an education on how to use the feature within their category.

It is available across all categories for items that are fixed price and do not include multi-variations.

Any plans to make it available on multi-variation listings as well? The ability to make a custom description/price for a specific buyer has been desperately needed for a very long time... and that includes when the question comes from an item with variations.

(If the claim that the item the question comes from doesn't even have to be involved in the ultimate offer made, then it makes no sense to exclude them from the function. It would only make sense to exclude them if the only way to use private offer was to give a special price on exactly what the listing was for.)

There are no immediate plans, as the functionality is a bit more complex than listings without options, but it's likely a matter of time. Private Offer can be used to add many things to one order, however, and that includes an option that does come from a multi-variation listing. It's only the 'Reply with offer' button that won't appear when buyers message you directly thru a multi-variation listing.
