Hello eBay,
Do you have faster servers for sellers with a large number of listings? I currently have 5k listings and I have a plan to get to 10K by the end of the first quarter of 2021. My problem is when I add the new required Items specifics or any other minor change to 5000 listings it take 12+ hours to update all of the listings. I am using Sixbit software and it changes listings one by one adding the new "IS" and the response back from eBay is too long.
I have fast Gigabit internet with a fast modern computer. There are many sellers with millions of listings, there is no way they could be making changes with these long delays. How can I speed up the servers that my eBay listings live on?

Hi @maxoptical - I'm not aware of any tiered-server system here. I'm sure that as larger sellers scale upward they manage inventory across multiple channels with 3rd party tools. I'm not sure how those edits are done (in batches, all at once, etc), but it may be worth contacting Sixbit to see if they have suggestions to help decrease the time it takes for edits to process (not sure if doing smaller batches would help).
Thanks!

Hello eBay, What is the function of the Display Priority? It does not change what promotion is shown when there is two promotion on the same listing. I have no idea what it actually does.

@maxoptical - Great question! This is something that tripped me up too!
This affects the order of offers on the All Offers page only. The priority of which offer will appear on the View Item page is based on a rule which cannot be changed. Items that qualify for multiple offers are promoted to a buyer on the View item page in the following order:
I hope that helps!

I received a concerning email from ebay that sates
"Starting January 13, 2021, sellers in the Coins & Paper Money categories, including Bullion, will be notified to register or will be activated for managed payments if you’ve already pre-registered. Sellers that are already activated on managed payments may create listings in these categories beginning January 25."
If I am preregistered and activated on Jan 13 what happens to my listings until January 25th? Coins and bullion will still be restricted from the 13th to the 25th? On the 13th will all my listings be taken down if I am activated on the 13th?
No fees have been announced. How do I know what my ebay fees will be on that date? Currently prior to the switch coins are the same price as stamps. Will that continue and will coins stay the same price as stamps?
Also I have seen lots of people having trouble signing up to managed payments but I had none. If the payments tab says "You've successfully registered for managed payments" am I done? Or will I require any more action? I just don't want to be part of the wide spread problems getting payouts.

Edit: a reply to your questions can be found here
Hi @coinslabz26 - I heard back on this!
The team has gotten a lot of feedback around the dates mentioned being confusing, but they have confirmed that members will not be activated in managed payments before the date when they can actually list items within the category. Meaning for you, being pre-registered, you shouldn't expect to be fully activated until at least the 25th.
Already activated sellers (as an example, a primarily clothing seller who occasionally lists coins) would follow the same rule: they would not be able to list coins within payments until at least that date.
I hope that helps ease your mind a bit!
