two different ebay accounts

somehow ebay assigned an additional account to me. My longstanding account is on my laptop and the one ebay assigned is on my apple phone. I can't print from my phone so I can't get shipping labels. I can't get anyone to talk to me from ebay so what can I do?

Sign out of the account on your phone and sign in with the account you want to use.

You may have inadvertently created a new account by signing in using a social media account that was not already linked to your original eBay account.

 

You should be able to sign out of the new eBay account on your phone and sign back in to your original eBay account using your original username and password.

As I understand it, to open a selling account you have to sign up for Managed Payments, giving your SSN and bank account information.

So your phone account should be only a buying account, where you cannot  get paid.

 

Note that for some unfathomable reason, eBay allows newbies to list on an account  without telling them that they need the MP account to get paid. Since MP accounts are purposely difficult to arrange* we see many plaints from newbies and returnees who cannot get the money eBay is Holding.

 

Even so, if you have two accounts, there is no reason you can't sign into the phone account on a desktop/laptop computer.
It's not the machine that is important.

Do you know the name of the phone account? The password?

 

 

 

* I hope this is done on purpose to thwart scammers. I am not too sure about that though.

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
