saved searches

A few days ago, no more than a week, I started getting my saved searches emails in the afternoon instead of early morning.  So now when I check my email every morning all the best deals are gone already because I am viewing listing updates from the previous afternoon.  After a bit of hunting it seems individual accounts are at times affected by varying saved search issues.  I don't pretend to understand how this happens to an otherwise unchanged account, but for me I am still able to view, edit, and change all my searches.  However, I do not get them in time to do me much good.  As a some time seller, if this were impacting a large number of users I would be concerned about listing visible to some degree.  As a buyer, the ability to specify a time, even broadly, for email delivery of saved searches would be useful.   Afternoon delivery isn't very useful to me.  I hope this isn't a change that has been made deliberately.  It has been suggested that Ebay sends out these emails on no particular schedule.  While that may be true by some interpretation, I seriously doubt the mail servers do it 'whenever they get around to it' as some other users attest.  In 20 years of buying and selling on Ebay I have seen the site evolve from essentially a text based interface into the interactive thing it is now.  There are a slew of changes that have been implemented over the last couple of years that drastically increase the number of 'suggested items' under various headings and other UI related things that while offering little benefit and at times add only annoyance, I understand most of them from a certain perspective.  Invisible, silent changes to how users are allowed to view and filter things from within the 'My Ebay' section really should be sacrosanct.  The addition of things like 'More like your watched item' in between my watch list and recent purchase list, and 'People who shopped for this also looked at' at the bottom are to me just click bait style advertising that does not belong anywhere in 'My Ebay'.  Many of these suggestions link to huge sellers who generate the most money for Ebay.  There is enough of that browsing and searching the main site.  While this topic has gone perhaps a bit off topic, my point is the time of day I receive notifications for saved searches is relevant.  To me. My fear is whatever mechanism dictating the time of delivery saved searches messages has been deliberately changed.  Or, perhaps, its a side effect of something else.  Ideally I could choose what time of day this happens.  I think most people who use Ebay even casually would appreciate such a feature.  Is anyone else experiencing different delivery times lately?  Is it a deliberate change I don't know about?  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
