Did you mean:

"listing you're interested in is no longer available"

I got an email from the eBay team today saying the following:

"We're writing to let you know that we've removed an item you recently won due to concerns with the seller's account:
333016055196 - Heat Window Air Conditioner Remote LG LW1215HR 12,000 BTU Cooling & 11,200 BTU
Since you've already paid for the item, you don't need to do anything else. If your item hasn't arrived yet, it should arrive soon. [...]"

But I don't which item it is, and including the seller account information does not help. Why isn't the item ID, description, image, anything included? I've bought quite a few things in the past few days, so there'd be really no way to whittle it down.

I'd like to strongly suggest that, at the very least, the item image be put into the bot notification in the future.

The title of the item and eBay number are listed in the text you quote. It appears to be a remote control for an air conditioner. If you copy and paste the model number into a search engine, you can find a picture of it.

If you paid via PayPal, you can paste the eBay number into your PayPal account search field and find the transaction details to see if the payment was claimed or not. If the item was shipped with tracking, there might be tracking details there.

If you save your eBay emails, you might be able to use that number to search for order details there.

You can check eBay's Resolution Center to see if the item is listed there, assuming it has been removed from your Purchase History. If you don't receive the item by the last estimated delivery date, you will have up to 30 days to file an "item not received" case with eBay.

Okay, now I'm just more confused. I definitely didn't buy an AC, never off eBay nor anywhere else.

Did you receive this as an email only, or is a copy in your eBay messages as well? Does the email contain any personal info of yours besides your email address, or is it completely generic?

It's possible this is a spoof email designed to get you to click on a link and enter your credentials. If you did use a link from this email to sign in to eBay, you should consider changing your password.

Oh I hadn't considered that! I just checked, it was in the eBay inbox as well. It remains a mystery..
Good reminder re: phishing nonetheless 🙂
