"You are Using A Business Policy That is Not Supported..."

business.jpgA lot of errors today. My typical listing behavior is to find like product in my store and "Sell Similar". These are the errors so far.

  • Before this error, the listing form came up without a listing title field
  • This error shown is happening now.

Guess I am done working on Ebay today. I knew there would be issues as soon as I saw my feedback number revert to a previous number that dates to months ago (the same number it always reverts to when updates are done. How many times it reverts will tell me how many times it has been restored and when I can and cannot list effectively).

Screenshot in the OP shows the simple listing form. Business policies are not compatible with the simple listing form.

Your options are to switch to the business listing tool (settings gear upper right then choose the option to switch) or you can opt out of using business policies on this page.

I was trying to edit a listing today and options were not available for multiple sizes as usual.  So I deleted the listing and wanted to start all over but nope, something is currently wrong with trying to create or edit listings today.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Whatever you're experiencing is completely unrelated to the original post. Please start a new thread along with specifics like screenshots, any error messages, whether you're on app or web, category, steps taken, etc.

While that might be true, as to this being the "simple listing" tool, I have never used the simple listing tool (it would have had to switch itself), it has never done this before, and has not done this since.

So, my post stands as this is a bug because it is not the correct behavior but perhaps the bug should read "Switches to Simple Listing Tool without User Selection".. and the title missing earlier was yet another bug in the listing tool.

Hmm, at any point did you use "sell one like this" from another seller's listing? I'm trying to think why you may have been switched to the simple listing tool if you never used it before.

If that's not the case then you should report the error to eBay by clicking the ? in the lower right corner of your selling page then choosing the link towards the bottom to report a tech issue.
