I was setting up my bank account with eBay to receive my first payment after selling an item and I kept getting the error message "We do not support this bank. Please add a different bank account."
After some research it looked like some other people had the same problem, and some personal information didn't match up and they had to enter in the details manually instead of linking the accounts. I still got the same error message when entering it in manually, so I contacted eBay support. They told me that I had to wait 48 hours, don't try to use the authentication method and go straight to the manual entry method and that would work. It still wasn't working after many attempts and being sure that I had the correct information.
Finally after many frustrating calls with support they said there is nothing else to do besides create a new personal checking account, and that my routing number was the problem. So I called my bank and it turns out the routing number is created based on the state that you're in when you create the account. I created my account in a different state than I currently live in, so I'm guessing that there is some eBay system glitch that doesn't allow the current address to not match the routing number associated state. So with a new checking account and routing number I was able to add it to my eBay account.
I've never had any issues like this and I can't believe that eBay was so unhelpful in this process, and I just hope this post helps others with the same issue.

Another post shared that this issue seems to be happening with bank accounts from Georgia, which is true of mine.
