problem with Paypal Checkout

i can't seem to pay using paypal at checkout, it's been 24 hrs and it's stuck with the same blue circle then a "return to merchant" button. Anybody having the same problem? i have cleared all of my cache and cookies, just like what cs said and still not working.

@kyliefied

Try signing in to your PayPal account in another browser tab; keep that tab open then return to the eBay checkout page, hit the back arrow and try checking out again.

If you are using 2-Factor Authentication in your PayPal account try disabling it, or else use the PayPal "One-Touch" feature to register your device.

If none of that helps, try checking out using a different browser or the eBay app.

Just as a reminder, and apologies if you're already aware of this, many websites display that kind of message even if the problem is on the user's end. I have a very weak wi-fi connection (long, sad story), and I often get disconnected as I'm chasing around the internet, so I see those "apology" screens a lot--too much, unfortunately. I always think it's very gracious of them to take responsibility for the error when I know it was clearly on my end.

Just a thought.

Also, you might try posting on your local PayPal discussion board. Do you use a specific PayPal site for the Philippines? If so, there may be some compatriots who could help. If you use the U.S. PayPal site, someone there might be experiencing something similar.

Good luck!

Many others have reported problems in the past couple of months, so there appears to be a problem.  I would call PayPal first, then eBay if PayPal says it's an eBay issue.

There are many eBay Members that have been reporting problems with trying to pay with PayPal, so there appears to be something going on.

When you have week Wi-Fi and lose your internet connection, you would be disconnected from the site your on, so the reported Blue Circle and Site Message the OP said they saw, would typically be replaced with a different message/screen image (to flag your connection was lost).
