This has been happening for a while for me (seller in japan)
I have about 350 active listings, and about a month ago realized my ebay store and for sale listings were showing only 29 items!!!!
I try to contact ebay (basically impossible) and finally after a few days my listings in my store etc were back to 350
now its back to 149!
I am a top rated seller,100% feedback and been on ebay since 2006,but its hard to sell anything if the listings are showing! (they are for reason on UK ebay, but not the US and global site)

I looked at one of your listings and it doesn't ship to Japan.
While you're logged into your account, you won't be see those listings.

thank you,but even when I sign out it still shows 140 listings only
this problem happened before and they fixed it (for about 2-3 weeks)
but it seems to have happened again
they also said they knew of the glitch last time,so was hoping it would be permanently fixed

Does anyone know why when you search for something, it doesn’t show you all options? Example: I was searching for watercolor paints. It is only showing a few, several of the watercolor paints for sell are left out. You might think it’s bc of the word I’m using but actually some of the ones left out actually have the word watercolor in their title. It’s really caused me not to want to shop with EBay. If I wanted a watered down search, then I would filter for a watered down search.

What results you see may depend on how you are searching.
A general search for watercolor paints will be steered into the Water Color Paint category and currently finds about 13,000 results that ship to my address. Results in other categories or results that do not ship to your address may not be shown by default when you search.
In addition, if you sort by Price plus Shipping: Lowest First, eBay may "streamline" the results, showing only the most relevant results (however eBay defines that). To see all results, you may have to follow a link at the top of the search results, or else choose another sort method.
eBay likely calculates that showing more of the results that users are likely to buy and less of the results that users are not likely to buy by default ultimately results in more sales and more profits for eBay, on average. That may not be true for you or I in a particular search, but eBay likely has a lot more data to take into consideration than you or I do.
