eBay messages not working correctly

Since this morning, the eBay message reply page looks different and I can not type more than 1 character at a time. I have to put the cursor back into place and type a single character. I have cleared my cache, and cookies, and all browsing data. I am using the Chrome browser.

Try another browser to see if other types of browsers are affected.

I am able to reply and compose a message in Firefox and Edge without problems.

I tried to reply to a message using Chrome Beta, and I could not see the portion of field to enter new text at all -- the very top of the window was the 2000/2000 character indicator showing how many characters were left, the typical "Add your message here" was missing completely.

Turning off my ad blocker (Ad Block) in Chrome Beta did change the way the field displayed and did allow me to enter text, though.

If you are using a Grammarly browser extension, try disabling it. Others have indicated that there may be a conflict between Grammarly and eBay messages.

I did notice something was up  the other day, when trying to contact a buyer, using the contact buyer link on an item page , it takes me directly to my inbox, so unable to message a buyer. Thought this was a glitch but today I am literally shut out of messaging on chrome.

That happens to me with Chrome. I am able to reply by composing the reply in a word doc then pasting it into the message reply field. Before this screw-up, photos couldn't be attached to messages.  smh
