eBay app listing issue with flat rate shipping

Over the past 2 days there seems to be some type of technical issue/glitch on the app when listing an item with flat rate shipping.

When trying to enter a shipping amount, it is forcing the optional weight and dimensions to be put in, even for sellers who are using flat rate shipping. Once you click that "you don't have the details" of the package it automatically prevents you from even selecting a shipping service.

 

It's happening with any listing I'm creating on the app that I don't input weight or dimensions on, despite using flat rates. It's only a problem on the app. Website works fine. I've submitted reports and just chatted with support. They're supposedly putting in a ticket with technical team but I figured it was worthwhile to address here as well as I know that I'm not the only eBay seller that is having this issue from what I've seen on the community shipping page.Screenshot_20250314_220815_eBay.jpg

There appears to be an issue as several users are reporting a problem. Shake your device while the app is open to file a tech report @moderninsanity .

 

There's a potential work-around posted here:

 

"Starting a few days ago, I am routinely getting domestic shipping errors when trying to enter shipping dimensions and finalize listings. The error says something is missing when I have already entered the shipping details. The only way I have found to “fix” this error is to go to the shipping details, flip “I don’t know the package details” to on and then off again and then list the item."

Unfortunately flipping does not work, it ends up auto filling the dimensions and weight
